Abstract
THE DESCRIPTION OF TOTAL CHOLESTEROL LEVELS IN THE MENOPAUSE AT BANJAR YEH MECEBUR MENDOYO SUB DISTRICT JEMBRANA REGENCY IN 2022 ABSTRACT Most of the impact of the decrease in the hormone estrogen in menopause is an increase in total cholesterol levels. The purpose of this study was to describe total cholesterol levels in menopause in Banjar Yeh Mecebur, Mendoyo District, Jembrana Regency. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method with a cross�sectional research design that emphasizes the measurement time or variable data observation only once regarding the results of total cholesterol in menopause. The research was conducted in April-May with the number of respondents as many as 36 people. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. Total cholesterol levels were measured using the Easy Touch GCU. The results showed that from a total of 36 respondents, 4 respondents (11.2%) had normal total cholesterol levels, 16 respondents (44.4%) had threshold total cholesterol levels, and 16 respondents (44.4%) had high total cholesterol levels. The description of total cholesterol levels based on the characteristics found that total cholesterol levels were found to be high in all age groups and most were found at the age of 56-65 years (66.7%), with a long time to stop menstruating ≤ 5 years (33.3%), having a history of ever using contraception hormonal (41.6%) with Body Mass Index (BMI) overweight (27.8%).Based on the results of the research that has been done, it is hoped that this research can be used as a basis for further research with different methods so that the results obtained are more optimal. Key words: Menopause, Total Cholesterol, POCT method GAMBARAN KADAR KOLESTEROL TOTAL PADA WANITA MENOPAUSE DI BANJAR YEH MECEBUR KECAMATAN MENDOYO KABUPATEN JEMBRANA TAHUN 2022 ABSTRAK Sebagian besar dampak dari penurunan hormon esterogen pada menopause adalah peningkatan kadar kolesterol total. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kadar kolesterol total pada wanita menopause di Banjar Yeh Mecebur Kecamatan Mendoyo Kabupaten Jembrana Tahun. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian cross sectional yang menekankan waktu pengukuran atau observasi data variabel hanya satu kali mengenai hasil kadar kolesterol total pada wanita menopause. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan April-Mei dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 36 orang. Teknik sampling yang digunakan yaitu purposive sampling. Kadar kolesterol totaldi ukur menggunakan alat Esaay Touch GCU. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari total 36 responden diantaranya 4 responden (11.2%) memiliki kadar kolesterol total normal, 16 responden (44.4%) memiliki kadar kolesterol total ambang batas, dan 16 responden (44.4%) memiliki kadar kolesterol total tinggi. Gambaran kadar kolesterol total berdasarkan karakteristik ditemukan bahwa kadar kolesterol total ditemukan tinggi pada semua golongan usia dan paling banyak ditemukan pada usia 56-65 tahun (66.7%), dengan lama waktu berhenti menstruasi ≤ 5 tahun (33.3%), mempunyai riwayat pernah menggunakan kontrasepsi hormonal (41.6%) dengan Indeks Massa Tubuh (IMT) overweight (27.8%).Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, diharapkan penelitian ini dapat digunakan sebagai dasar untuk penelitian selanjutnya dengan metode yang berbeda sehingga hasil yang didapatkan lebih optimal.
