Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF BEHAVIOR OF WOMEN AGED FERTILE IN DOING BREAST SELF EXAMINATION DURING PANDEMIC IN WORKING AREA OF PUSKESMAS III SOUTH DENPASAR ABSTRACT Breasts play an important role for women of childbearing age because at this age the reproductive organs are still functioning very well. Breast cancer is a malignant breast tumor that is the most common cause of death in women. One of the steps to detect the onset of breast cancer is to perform breast self-examination (BSE). BSE is considered an effective and efficient way because it can reduce cancer mortality. The purpose of this study was to determine the behavior description of women of childbearing age in carrying out breast self-examination during the pandemic period in the work area of Puskesmas III, South Denpasar. This type of quantitative research is descriptive, with a cross-sectional approach. The population is 4,083 women of childbearing age, with a sample of 98 respondents using a multistage sampling technique. The type of data is primary data and is done by filling out a questionnaire in the form of a google form which was made by the researcher himself and has been tested for validity and reliability. Based on the results of the study, 67 respondents (68.4%) had good knowledge, 52 respondents (53.1%) had a positive attitude, and 88 respondents (88.9%) did not do breast self-examination in the last six months during the pandemic. Kanker payudara merupakan tumor ganas pada payudara yang menjadi penyebab kematian yang paling umum terjadi pada wanita. Salah satu langkah untuk mendeteksi timbulnya kanker payudara dengan melakukan pemeriksaan payudara sendiri (SADARI). SADARI dianggap sebagai cara efektif dan efisien, karena dapat menekan angka kematian kanker. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui Gambaran Perilaku Wanita Usia Subur Dalam Melakukan Pemeriksaan Payudara Sendiri Pada Masa Pandemi Di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas III Denpasar Selatan. Jenis penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif, dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi sebanyak 4.083 wanita usia subur, dengan sampel sebanyak 98 responden menggunakan teknik pengambilan sampel secara multistage sampling. Jenis data berupa data primer yang dilakukan dengan pengisian kuesioner berupa google form yang dibuat oleh peneliti sendiri dan telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian 67 responden (68,4%) memiliki pengetahuan baik, 52 responden (53,1%) bersikap positif, dan 88 responden (88,9%) tidak melakukan pemeriksaan payudara sendiri dalam enam bulan terakhir di masa pandemi.
