Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF PARENTAL KNOWLEDGE ABOUT BOTTLE CARIES IN TUMBU VILLAGE KARANGASEM DISTRICT IN 2022 ABSTRACT Dental and oral health is part of body health that can’t be separated from another. One of causes of dental and oral health problems is the attitude factor of ignoring dental and oral hygiene. The purpose of this study is to determine the description of parents knowledge about bottle caries in Tumbu Village, Karangasem Regency in 2022. This type of research is descriptive research, place and time of the research was carried out in Tumbu Village in March with 47 people, the type of data used was primary and secondary data. The data collection method provides a questionnaire of 20 questions. The results of this study indicate that mother of toddler with the highest knowledge of 21 people have fair criteria (44.68%) and the lowest criteria are nine people (19.15%). Knowledge of mother of toddler based on primary education criteria is good for two people (14.29%), only five people (35.71%) are enough. Less than seven people (50%). Middle school education good category three people (33.33%). Five people (66,67%) are enough,less one person (11,11%).High school education in the good category of seven people (35%), enough for eleven people (55%), less than two people (10%). College education with good category four people (100%). The average knowledge of mother of toddler (70.10%) with fair criteria. In conclusion, the knowledge of mothers of toddlers. At most with fair criteria as many as 21 people (44.68%), knowledge based on education with the highest percentage of college education in the good category, elementary education in the poor category and the average knowledge of mothers of toddlers (70.10%) with fair criteria. Keywords : Knowledge, Bottle Caries GAMBARAN PENGETAHUAN ORANG TUA TENTANG KARIES BOTOL DI DESA TUMBU KABUPATEN KARANGASEM TAHUN 2022 ABSTRAK Kesehatan gigi dan mulut merupakan bagian dari kesehatan tubuh yang tidak dapat dipisahkan satu dengan yang lainnya. Penyebab timbulnya masalah kesehatan gigi dan mulut salah satunya adalah faktor sikap mengabaikan kebersihan gigi dan mulut. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui Gambaran Pengetahuan Orang Tua Tentang Karies Botol Di Desa Tumbu Kabupaten Karangasem Tahun 2022. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu penelitian deskriptif, tempat dan waktu penelitian dilaksanakan di Desa Tumbu bulan Maret dengan respoden 47 orang, jenis data yang digunakan adalah data primer dan sekunder, metode pengumpulan datanya memberikan kuesioner sebanyak 20 soal. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ibu balita dengan pengetahuan tertinggi 21 orang kriteria cukup (44,68%) dan terendah kriteria kurang sembilan orang (19,15%). Pengetahuan ibu balita berdasarkan pendidikan SD kriteria baik dua orang (14,29%), cukup lima orang (35,71%), kurang tujuh orang (50%). Pendidikan SMP kategori baik tiga orang (33,33%), cukup lima orang (66,67%), kurang satu orang (11,11%). Pendidikan SMA kategori baik tujuh orang (35%), cukup 11 orang (55%), kurang dua orang (10%). Pendidikan PT dengan kategori baik empat orang (100%). Rata-rata pengetahuan ibu balita (70,10%) dengan kriteria cukup. Dapat disimpulkan pengetahuan ibu balita paling banyak dengan kriteria cukup sebanyak 21 orang (44,68%), pengetahuan berdasarkan pendidikan dengan persentase tertinggi pendidikan PT dengan kategori baik, pendidikan SD dengan kategori kurang tujuh orang dan rata-rata pengetahuan ibu balita (70,10%) dengan kriteria cukup.
