Abstract

THE LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE ABOUT DENTAL AND ORAL HEALTH BEFORE AND AFTER COUNSELING THE FLIPCHART MEDIA ON CLASS VII JUNIOR GANESHA THE YEAR 2022 ABSTRACT Knowledge is the result of human sensing, or the result of knowing a person to an object through his senses (his eyes, nose, ears, and parts of it). Middle school (junior high) is the formal primary school after going through elementary school. During this time youths will experience a transition, a transition from childhood to adulthood. Health problems in teens especially among school students include dental and oral health problems, dental and oral health problems referred to as karies, calculus, gingivitis, and periodontitis. The purpose of this study is to know the level of knowledge about oral and dental health before and after the counselling with the flipchart media class VII on middle school Ganesha in 2022. This type of research is a descriptive survey design. The type of data collected is the primary data. The results of the study totaling 38 class VII students were chosen random sampling, showing the percentage of the level of knowledge about dental and oral health before counselling with sufficient criteria is 36.84% and after counselling the very good criteria is 100%. The average level of knowledge about dental and oral health by 67.84 with sufficient criteria and an average knowledge level after correction by 95.13 with very good criteria. A quick examination of the level of dental and oral health before and after counselling the flipchart media on class VII (Ganesha middle school) 2022 was enhanced. Key words: knowledge, dental and oral health, junior high school students TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN TENTANG KESEHATAN GIGI DAN MULUTSEBELUM DAN SESUDAH PENYULUHAN DENGAN MEDIA FLIPCHART PADA SISWA KELAS VII SMP GANESHA TAHUN 2022 ABSTRAK Pengetahuan adalah hasil penginderaan manusia, atau hasil tahu seseorang terhadap objek melalui indera yang dimilikinya (mata, hidung, telinga, dan sebagiannya).Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) merupakan tingkat pendidikan dasar secara formal setelah melalui sekolah dasar.Pada masa ini remaja mengalami masa transisi, yakni perpindahan dari masa kanak-kanak menuju masa dewasa.Masalah kesehatan pada remaja khususnya yang termasuk siswa sekolah salah satunya adalah masalah kesehatan gigi dan mulut, masalah kesehatan gigi dan mulut yang dimaksud seperti karies, kalkulus, gingivitis, dan periodontitis.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat pengetahuan tentang Kesehatan gigi dan mulut sebelum dan sesudah penyuluhan dengan media flipchart pada siswa kelas VII SMP Ganesha tahun 2022.Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif menggunakan desain survey.jenis data yang dikumpulkan adalah data primer dan data skunder. Hasil dari penelitian berjumlah 38 siswa kelas VII dipilih secara random sampling, menunjukkan persentase tingkat pengetahuan tentang kesehatan gigi dan mulut sebelum penyuluhan dengan kategori cukup yaitu 36,84% dan sesudah penyuluhan dengan kategori sangat baik yaitu 100%. Rata-rata tingkat pengetahuan tentang kesehatan gigi dan mulut sebelum penyuluhan sebesar 67,84 dengan kategori cukup dan sesudah penyuluhan sebesar 95,13 dengan kategori sangat baik. Didapatkan simpulan bahwa tingkat pengetahuan tentang Kesehatan gigi dan mulutsebelum dan sesudah penyuluhan dengan media flipchart pada siswa kelas VII SMP Ganesha tahun 2022 mengalami peningkatan.
