Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF THE KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS OF BRUSHING THE TOOTH GOOD AND RIGHT IN STUDENTS CLASS VII-4 GANESHA Middle School IN 2022 ABSTRACT Dental and oral health is part of body health that cannot be separated from one another because it will affect the health of the body as a whole. Maintenance of dental and oral hygiene is one of the efforts to improve health. The purpose of this study was to determine the knowledge and skills of brushing teeth that are good and correct in class VII-4 SMP Ganesha in 2022. This research is a descriptive study with a survey design. The number of respondents was 38 students of class VII-4 SMP Ganesha, this research was conducted from March to April. The results showed that the percentage of students who got a good level of knowledge on brushing teeth was one person (2.63%), nine students were sufficient (23.69%), 28 people were lacking criteria (73.68%). The average level of knowledge of brushing teeth is 53.29 with less criteria. The percentage of students who got the level of brushing skills with very good criteria were 17 people (44.74%), good criteria, sufficient and needed guidance had the same number of seven people (18.42%). The average level of brushing skills is 70.53 with good criteria. The conclusion of the study is that the highest percentage of knowledge with the criteria is less and the lowest is good with an average knowledge of less. The highest percentage of brushing skills with very good and lowest criteria is good, adequate, less has the same amount as the average good brushing skills. Keywords: Knowledge, Skills, Brushing teeth, Middle school students GAMBARAN TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN DAN KETERAMPILAN MENYIKAT GIGI YANG BAIK DAN BENAR PADA SISWA KELAS VII-4 SMP GANESHA TAHUN 2022 ABSTRAK Kesehatan gigi dan mulut merupakan bagian dari kesehatan tubuh yang tidak dapat dipisahkan satu dengan yang lain karena akan mempengaruhi kesehatan tubuh secara keseluruhan. Pemeliharaan kebersihan gigi dan mulut merupakan salah satu upaya meningkatkan kesehatan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengetahuan dan keterampilan menyikat gigi yang baik dan benar pada siswa kelas VII-4 SMP Ganesha tahun 2022. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan desain survei. Jumlah responden sebanyak 38 siswa kelas VII-4 SMP Ganesha, penelitian ini di lakukan pada bulan maret sampai april. Hasil penelitian menunjukan persentase siswa yang mendapatkan tingkat pengetahuan menyikat gigi kiteria baik sebanyak satu orang (2,63%), kriteria cukup sebanyak sembilan orang (23,69%), kriteria kurang sebanyak 28 orang (73,68%). Rata-rata tingkat pengetahuan menyikat gigi adalah 53,29 dengan kriteria kurang. Persentase siswa yang mendapatkan tingkat keterampilan menyikat gigi dengan kriteria sangat baik sebanyak 17 orang (44,74%), kriteria baik, cukup dan perlu bimbingan memiliki jumlah yang sama yaitu sebanyak tujuh orang (18,42%). Rata-rata tingkat keterampilan menyikat gigi adalah 70,53 dengan kriteria baik. Simpulan penelitian adalah persentase pengetahuan tertinggi dengan kriteria kurang dan terendah adalah baik dengan rata-rata pengetahuan kurang. Persentase keterampilan menyikat gigi tertinggi dengan kriteria sangat baik dan terendah adalah baik, cukup, kurang memiliki jumlah yang sama dengan rata-rata keterampilan menyikat gigi baik.
