Abstract

RELATIONSHIP OF PHYSICAL ACTIVITY LEVEL WITH BLOOD PRESSURE IN EMPLOYEE WORK FROM HOME DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC IN SERIRIT VILLAGE AREA IN 2021 ABSTRACT Hypertension or high blood pressure is one of the non-communicable diseases which is a problem in Indonesia. The increase in blood pressure is influenced by several faktors, one of which is physical activity. During the Covid-19 pandemic it was very important to do physical activity. One of the ways to prevent the spread of Covid-19 is social distancing, causing some workers who usually work in offices to work at home. People who work from home can be negatively affected by reducing physical activity while working at home. This study aims to determine the relationship between physical activity levels and blood pressure among workers who work from home during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research method is correlation analytic withapproach cross sectional. The research sample was 68 people using probability sampling technique. The data collection instrument used the IPAQ questionnaire - short form and the measurement of blood pressure using a spigmomanometer. The results showed that most respondents had moderate physical activity as many as 31 people (45.6%) and blood pressure in respondents, namely in the normal category, were 26 people (38.2%). The test results using the Spearman rank with a value of ρ-value = 0.004 <α (0.05) and a value of r = -0.348, which means that there is a relationship between the level of physical activity and blood pressure in workers who work from home during the Covid-19 pandemic in the Seririt district. 2021.
