Abstract

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE LEVEL OF MOTHER'S KNOWLEDGE AND THE PRACTICE OF COMPLEMENTARY FEEDING WITH THE INCIDENCE OF STUNTING IN TODDLERS ABSTRACT Stunting rate in toddlers in Indonesia is 37.2% in 2013 and 27.67% in 2019. One of the factors causing stunting is the lack of nutrient intake. Poor nutrient intake is caused by several factors, one of which is improper administration of MP-ASI. This is due to the mother's low knowledge of Breast Milk Companion Foods (MP-ASI) related to the practice of breastfeeding. Proper MP-breast milk is given to infants/children aged 6-24 months. This is related to 1000 HPK which is a golden growth for children and the nutritional status of toddlers. The purpose of this study is to find out the relationship of maternal knowledge level about MP-ASI and the practice of breastfeeding companion feeding (MP-ASI) with stunting events in toddlers. This type of research is a library study that is research by collecting data from various references such as research journals, journal reviews, google scholar and various literature related to the topics discussed. Research design is a systematic review that answers the objectives systematically based on the study of libraries. The results of the literature review show that mothers' knowledge of complementary feeding in the good category ranges from 9.76% to 92.3%, the sufficient category is between 15.3% to 43.3%, and the less category is between 5.9% to 4.3%. with 56.10%. The practice of giving complementary feeding in the good category ranges from 31.71% to 74%, the sufficient category is between 26% to 39.02% and the less category is 0% to 29.27%. This study shows that there is a relationship of maternal knowledge about MP-ASI with the practice of giving MP-ASI and the relationship of mp-breast-feeding practices with stunting events.
