Abstract

DIFFERENCES OF TOTAL CHOLESTEROL LEVELS BASED ON PORK CONSUMPTION AND OBESITY STATUS IN THE COMMUNITY (LITERATUR REVIEW) ABSTRACT Obesity is often associated with high cholesterol levels. This is because obesity and high cholesterol have the same contributing factors. One of the factors that influence is consuming foods that are high in fiber and high in fat. One of the foods that contain high fat is pork. When compared to beef, pork has more fat content, pork fat content of 45.0 grams. The purpose of knowing the difference in total cholesterol levels based on pork consumption and obesity status in the community. This type of research uses literature review which is related to the topics that the researchers discussed. Subjects in literature search were Cholesterol Levels, consumption of pork and obesity status. The method of collecting literature is through two databases (google scholar and pubmed) which are searched from 2013-2020. Descriptive analysis method that processes data by describing the data summarizes the data scientifically. The literature search results obtained 6 references that match the inclusion criteria related to the topics discussed. The conclusion of this literature search is that there is no significant relationship between cholesterol levels and obesity status, this is because cholesterol levels are more influenced by the consumption of fatty foods. Based on the literature search conducted, cholesterol levels can be influenced by consumption of pork. Keywords: Cholesterol Levels, Pork Consumption, Obesity
