Abstract
Gastritis is an inflammation of the gastric mucosa and causes swelling of the gastric mucosa until the superficial mucosal epithelium detaches. This study aims to describe the knowledge of people with gastritis in Banjar Jasri, Tri Eka Buana Village, Sidemen District, Karangasem Regency 2021. This research is a descriptive type of research using a research instrument in the form of a questionnaire. The research instrument was designed by researchers who have gone through validity and reliability tests. The sample in this study were 52 people with gastritis in Banjar Jasri who were selected by purposive sampling technique. The data analysis carried out is descriptive statistical analysis which aims to provide a description of the results of the questionnaires that have been obtained. The results showed that gastritis sufferers in Banjar Jasri were dominated by the age of 15-25 years, female gender, high school education level, farmer occupation. The results also showed that the majority of gastritis sufferers' knowledge was at a good level, namely 50 people with a percentage (96.2%) and with sufficient criteria as many as 2 people with a percentage (3.8%). So it can be concluded that the knowledge of Gastritis sufferers in Banjar Jasri is at a good level, but because of the lifestyle as a farmer who is busy and often eats late, the majority of gastritis sufferers in Banjar Jasri are people who work as farmers. Suggestions that can be given to gastritis sufferers in Banjar Jasri are to apply a healthy lifestyle in the midst of busy work, especially eating regularly and avoiding stress that triggers gastritis recurrence.
