Abstract
Lower back pain in pregnancy causes discomfort. The results of a preliminary study at PMB Ni Wayan Darsani, SST of 10 pregnant women said that 8 pregnant women experienced low back pain. Herbal Therapy Compress Ball is a non-pharmacological method that can reduce low back pain. The purpose of this study was to prove the benefits of Herbal Therapy Compress Ball for lower back pain in third trimester pregnant women at Midwifery Independent Practice in the working area of UPTD Puskesmas III of North Denpasar District Health Office. This study used pre-experimental with one group pre-test-post test design. pretest-posttest design. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling with 20 respondents. The independent variable was the Herbal Therapy Compress Ball and the dependent variable was the intensity of low back pain in the third trimester of pregnant women. Bivariate analysis used the Wilcoxon α <0.05 test. The results of the level of low back pain before being given the Herbal Therapy Compress Ball obtained a pretest score with the lowest score of five and the highest score of eight, and the median value of six. The posttest results were obtained with the lowest score of two and the highest score of four, and the median of three. the value of ρ = 0.000 <α (0.05) and the value of Z (-3.956a). Herbal Therapy Compress Ball can be the right therapy to reduce pain intensity. It is hoped that the next study will be able to focus on sampling adding a control group as a comparison group.
