Abstract
Congestive heart failure is pathophysiologic condition of the heart failing to maintain adequate circulation, the cause of which is not certain but there are several factors. Anxiety, depression and other negative emotions which are symptoms of emotional mental disorders are triggered by the length of treatment the patient has undergone so that they require appropriate help and counseling. This study aims to determine the description of mental emotional disorders in patients with congestive heart failure. This study used a descriptive type of research with a quantitative design, which was carried out with a cross sectional approach. This research was conducted at Wangaya General Hospital Denpasar with sample of 39 respondents. Using consecutive sampling technique. The measuring instrument used is the Self Reporting Questionnaire (SRQ). The results showed that of the 39 respondents, the majority aged 56-65 years as many as 18 people (46,2%), female sex as many as 25 people (64,1%), having basic education as many as 20 (51,3%). housewives as many as 14 people (35,9%). And the most of the heart failure patients experienced mental emotional disorders as many as 32 people (82,9%). It can be concluded that the majority of research subjects have emotional mental disorders. Keywords: Emotional Mental Disorder, Congestive Heart Failure
