Abstract
Contraception is an attempt to prevent pregnancy. These efforts can be temporary or permanent. Many factors that support mothers in using contraceptive methods in the womb after the placenta include age, education, occupation, parity and motivation as well as husband's support and information media. This study aims to determine the factors that support mothers in using post-placental intrauterine contraceptive methods at the obstetrics and gynecology polyclinic UPTD Bali Mandara Regional General Hospital. The research design used in this study was descriptive with a retrospective study design. Interviews were conducted on 16 mothers. The way of taking samples using sampling technique in this study using total sampling technique. The study was conducted on May 3, 2021 until May 20, 2021. Data analysis using univariate analysis was carried out to analyze each variable of the research results. The results of this study indicate that there are still respondents who are less than 20 years old and more than 35 years old, most of them are 20 to 35 years old. Based on parity most of the multipara 87.5%. Education is mostly higher education 56.25%. The work of more than half of the working mothers is 56.25% and high motivation is 68.75%. Husband's support for the use of the post-placental IUD mostly supports as much as 62.5% and all sources of information on the use of the Post-placental IUD from health officer.
