Abstract
Nausea and vomiting, also known as emesis gravidarum, is one of the early signs of pregnancy. Emesis gravidarum causes discomfort due to feelings of dizziness, flatulence and weakness accompanied by discharge of stomach contents through the mouth with a frequency of less than 5 times a day in trimester pregnant womenThis study aims to determine the characteristics of pregnant mother ith emesis gravidarum based on age, parity, education and occupation of the mother. This research is descriptive observational by collecting data on patient medical records with a total sample of 100 people. The results showed that based on the age of the highest mother who experienced emesis gravidarum was at the age of 20-35 years as much as 82%. Based on the highest parity, namely in primigravida as much as 58%. Based on the highest education of secondary primary schools as much as 79%. Based on the highest occupation is working as much as 65%. The suggestions that can be conveyed by researchers are for further researchers to be able to conduct research on the characteristics of pregnant women with different variables, for independent practice of midwives and health workers, especially midwives so that the results of this study can be useful in the initial handling of gravidarum emissions, and for institutions so that they can become reference and increase student knowledge.
