Abstract
DESCRIPTION OF BLOOD SUGAR LEVELS IN PATIENTS WITH DIABETES MELITUS PATIENTS AT TABANAN HOSPITAL IN 2021 ABSTRACT Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disorder caused by inadequate insulin production so that it can increase blood sugar levels in the body. Blood sugar levels can be measured through three types there are anteprandial, post prandial and random. The purpose of this study to determine the description of blood sugar levels in patients with diabetes mellitus at Tabanan hospital in 2021. This study used quantitative descriptive research with an observational method design that only observed the patient's medical records regarding the results of the last examination of blood sugar levels or after intervention during treatment. The study was conducted in April with a sample of 65 sampel with consecutive sampling technique. The results of this study showed that most of the anteprandial blood sugar levels were in the moderate category 42 (64.6%), post prandial blood sugar levels were in the bad category 33 (50.8%) and random blood sugar levels were in the bad category 37 ( 56.9%). Most respondents aged ≥ 45 years old, are female and have a history of diabetic foot. From this research is hoped that date can be used as a basis for further research with comparison methods so that the results obtained are more optimal.
