Abstract
Knowledge is the result of knowing and this happens after someone senses a certain object. Maintenance Dental and oral health is a part of body health that cannot be separated from one another because oral health will affect the overall health of the body. Pregnancy is a process that involves anatomical and hormonal changes. The purpose of this study was to describe the level of knowledge of pregnant women about the maintenance of oral health in Jembrana Regency in 2021. This study was a descriptive survey design. The research site was carried out in the KKN group 16 Jembrana II, Mendoyo District, Jembrana Regency. In March 2021. The research respondents were 24 respondents. The results of this study are the percentage of knowledge with good categories as many as 11 people (45.83%). The average knowledge of pregnant women was 72.91 with sufficient category. The percentage of knowledge of pregnant women based on the level of education was mostly secondary education, namely 15 pregnant women (62.5%), with 3 people with good criteria (12.5%), 7 people with sufficient criteria (29.16%) and 5 people with poor criteria ( 20.83%). The conclusion of this study is the percentage level of knowledge of pregnant women about the maintenance of dental and oral health in Jembrana Regency with the most in good category, the average with enough category, the percentage based on the education level which is mostly middle to high school. It is suggested that the Puskesmas provide reading books or magazines on the maintenance of oral health to plan a continuous outreach program for the maintenance of dental and oral health.
