Abstract
ADJUSMENT OF TYPE 2 DIABETES MELLITUS PATIENTS IN THE WORKING AREA OF PUSKESMAS I DENPASAR BARAT IN 2021 ABSTRACT Type 2 diabetes is a condition where blood sugar levels exceed normal values, high blood sugar levels are caused by the body not using the insulin hormone normally. Adjustment is the individual's ability to meet one of their psychological needs, and accept their own condition, be able to enjoy their life without any kind of conflict, and be able to accept social activities and participate in social activities in the surrounding environment. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of the adjustment of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus patients in the working area of Puskesmas I Denpasar Barat in 2021. The type of research used was descriptive research, the sampling technique was purposive sampling of 26 patients. Collecting data using the Psychosocial Adjustment to Illness Scale-Self Report (PAIS-SR) questionnaire. The results showed that the adjustment of most patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus was in the good category, namely 21 people (80.77%) and 5 people (19.23%) in the bad category. The conclusion that the description of patient adjustment of the Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in the Working Area of Puskesmas I Denpasar Barat Tahun 2021 have a well adjustment to chronic illness Keywords: Adjustment, Type-2 Diabetes Mellitus
