Abstract
Father is one of the parents who has a very important role in the family, the role of the father today is more than just a wage earner or provider. Fathers can act as child caregivers, stay at home and share responsibilities in child care. Knowledge of oral and dental health is one of the efforts to prevent and overcome dental health problems. The purpose of this study was to determine knowledge about the maintenance of dental and oral health in the head of the family at the location of KKN IPE Poltekkes Kemenkes Denpasar in Buleleng I, Buleleng Regency in 2021. This type of research is a descriptive study. The total number of respondents in the study was 35 people with the percentage of family heads who had good knowledge as many as five people, 10 people had sufficient knowledge, 20 people lacked knowledge and the average knowledge of the family heads was 55.71. It is concluded that the knowledge of the head of the family on the maintenance of dental and oral health at the KKN IPE location for the Health Polytechnic of the Ministry of Health Denpasar in Buleleng I, Buleleng Regency in 2021 is still lacking.
