Abstract

Food is a basic need for human. Personal hygine is clean behavior, safe, and healthy to prevent contamination on food from preparation the ingredients until food serving. Tofu factory in Jl. Gajah Sura I Banjar Blusung, Peguyangan’s Fall, Denpasar North Districts have three factorys and five food handlers. The purpose of this study is to understand the implementation of food handlers Personal hygiene at tofu factory. The variables of this results are cleanliness the body and cloth, and attitudes of food handlers about the personal hygiene. This type of research is a descriptive method which describes real situation that happens in tofu facroty. The assessment of personal hygine divided into two categories are body and cloth score 0-2,5 and attitude score 0-5 (Not good category), and assessment for body and cloth score 2,6-5 and attitude score 6-10 (Good category). The result for the body assessment score range 4,6-4,8 (Good), cloth assessment score range 0,8-1 (Not good), and attitude assessment score range 9-9,4 (Good). Suggestion for tofu factories’r owner and food handlers to doing and keep the body clean, cloth, and focus for food handlers attitude. Keywords : Food, Personal hygiene, Food Handler
