Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus Type II is a hyperglycemic disease due to insulin insensitivity. The purpose of the study was to describe nursing care for diabetes mellitus type II with nursing problems in improving nutritional readiness in the work area of the Public Health Unit of Sukawati I Gianyar. From the preliminary results of data diabetes mellitus type II obtained in July 2018 a number of 60 cases at the UPT Kesawati Sukmas I Gianyar. This type of research uses descriptive design with case studies in two patients. Methods of data collection by interview, observation and documentation carried out on April 27-30 2019 in Banjar Puseh, Ketewel Village. The study found complaints of frequent urination, frequent hunger, fatigue, tingling and weight loss in both clients. Results of GDS examination Mr.L is 220mg / dL and Mr. T is 204mg / dL. The results showed both clients said they understood healthy food and beverage choices for Diabetes Mellitus Type II, the client said he understood the proper standard of nutritional intake, the client was able to improve his attitude towards food / drinks according to health goals and client's Body Mass Index (BMI) within the limits normal ie BMI in L 22.3 kg / m2 and Tn.T 22.4 kg / m2. Suggestions are expected that clients limit foods that are not recommended in the diet and eat according to the advice of health workers to control blood sugar. Diabetes mellitus tipe II merupakan penyakit hiperglikemi akibat insensivitas sel terhadap insulin. Tujuan dilakukan penelitian yaitu menggambarkan asuhan keperawatan diabetes mellitus tipe II dengan masalah keperawatan kesiapan peningkatan nutrisi di wilayah kerja UPT Kesmas Sukawati I Gianyar. Dari hasil pendahuluan data penyakit diabetes mellitus tipe II yang didapat pada bulan Juli tahun 2018 sejumlah 60 kasus di UPT Kesmas Sukawati I Gianyar. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif dengan rancangan studi kasus pada dua pasien. Metode pengambilan data dengan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi yang dilakukan pada tanggal 27-30 April 2019 di Banjar Puseh, Desa Ketewel. Pada pengkajian didapatkan keluhan sering kencing, sering lapar, mudah lelah, kesemutan dan penurunan berat badan pada kedua klien. Hasil pemeriksaan GDS Tn. L adalah 220mg/dL dan Tn. T adalah 204mg/dL. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kedua klien mengatakan memahami pilihan makanan dan minuman yang sehat untuk Diabetes Mellitus Tipe II, klien mengatakan memahami standar asupan nutrisi yang tepat, klien mampu meningkatkan sikapnya terhadap makanan/minuman sesuai dengan tujuan kesehatan dan Indeks Masa Tubuh (IMT) klien dalam batas normal yaitu IMT pada Tn L 22.3 kg/m2 dan Tn.T 22,4 kg/m2 . Saran diharapkan klien membatasi makanan yang tidak dianjurkan dalam diet dan makan sesuai anjuran tenaga kesehatan agar terkendalinya gula darah.
