Abstract
The prevalence of the population experiencing dental and oral health problems was 23.4%. Only 29.6% received care or treatment from dental health workers. Based on the 2013 Riskesdas there were 76.6% of the people who brushed their teeth while bathing in the morning and taking an afternoon bath. Only 2.3% of Indonesians brush their teeth with the right time, namely morning after breakfast and the night before going to bed. Pupuan Tabanan 2 Public Elementary School has never received counseling on how to brush their teeth properly. This study aims to determine the knowledge and skills of brushing teeth for students in grade IV and V Pupuan Tabanan 2 Elementary School. The research method used is descriptive research. In this study using a total population of 31 students. The data used is primary data. The results showed that most of the 20 students were still in the sufficient category and less 64.4%. And as many as 19 people or 61.28% are still sufficient categories and need guidance. The conclusion of this study is that most students have a level of knowledge with enough and lacking categories and the brushing skills of respondents also tend to be mostly in the sufficient category.
