Diarrhea is a common health problem among school-aged children and is closely related to poor handwashing with soap (CTPS) practices. This study aimed to analyze the effect of CTPS education using leaflet media on the knowledge and attitudes of students at SDN 4 Pekutatan Jembrana. The study was conducted at SDN 4 Pekutatan Jembrana from July to December 2025 using a pre-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design. The sample consisted of 37 students in grades IV and V selected using total sampling. The intervention involved CTPS education delivered through leaflet media. Data were collected using validated and reliable questionnaires and analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. The results showed a significant increase in students’ knowledge, from an average score of 5.27 before the intervention to 9.35 afterward. Students’ attitudes also improved from an average of 5.24 to 9.48. The Wilcoxon test indicated significant differences in knowledge (p=0.000) and attitudes (p=0.000) between pretest and posttest scores. This study concludes that CTPS education using leaflet media is effective in improving elementary school students’ knowledge and attitudes. Leaflets can serve as practical and engaging educational tools to support the implementation of clean and healthy living behaviors in the school environment.
