Abstract
Dental caries is infuluenced by four factor, one which is a behavior factor. Tooth brushing behavior in Bali showed that only 4,1% peoples who teeth brushing in a proper behavior. The purpose of this study is to dtermine description tooth brushing behavior and dental caries 1st grade student at SD Negeri 1 Karangasem, Karangasem Regency in 2019. This study is used descriptive study. The population in this study were 64 student. Results of the study on dental cariesgained an average of 0,47, andpercentage of students affected by dental caries 37,5%. An average of dental caries based on garder is in boy students got dental caries 0,25 and while in girl students 0,90. The study on tooth brushing behavior found that 16 students (25,0%) behave properly tooth brushing and 48 students (75,0%) behave incorrectl. Based on the resultof the study and data analysis can be conclusion that the majoryti of the first grade student of SD Negeri 1 Karangasem,Karangasem Regency in 2019 miscounducted in teeth brush behave and majority suffer from dental caries, but there also students who behave properly in brushing teeth had dental caries.
