Abstract
Many things can happen during pregnancy. Usually pregnant women will experience fatigue, nausea and sometimes vomiting which will cause reluctance to pay attention to the cleanliness of their teeth and mouth. Maternal dental and oral hygiene is important to get the optimal chewing function to help the body digest food, which will be benefical for the health of the mother and fetus. The purpose of this study was to find out the description of the level of dental and oral hygiene that went to the Abiansemal IV Community Health Center, Abansemal District, Badung Regency in 2019. Research was conducted based on. The type of research used is descriptive research with survey design. The study sample was pregnant women who visited the Puskesmas Abiansemal IV and were willing to become samples. The results showed that the average OHI-S of pregnant women was 1.83 (medium criteria) that had not reached the National target, which was said to be good if the OHI-S value was less than 1,2.
