Abstract
Carcinoma mammae is a malignant tumor that grows in a person's breast tissue, one of which is chemotherapy. Chemotherapy can have several effects, namely nausea, vomiting, excessive mouth sores, disturbances in the upper and lower digestive tract which will lead to decreased appetite and affect energy and protein intake. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the characteristics of Ca Mammae Chemotherapy Patients with the level energy and protein consumption at Prof. General Hospital. Dr. I.G.N.G Ngoerah Denpasar. This type of research is observational with a cross sectional design. The sample of this study were 45 conscious patients in the Angsoka II room who received chemotherapy. Based on the results of the study, the majority of the sample was aged 34-52 years, the frequency of chemotherapy was more than 2 times, no nausea and vomiting, the level of energy and protein consumption was in the low category. The results of the Chi-Square test showed that there was a relationship between the frequency of chemotherapy and the level of energy and protein consumption (p < 0.05), but there was no relationship between age and physical condition and the level of energy and protein consumption (p > 0.05).
