Abstract

In serving cooked food, it must be served to the patient on time, not too late, causing the temperature of the food to change and affecting the patient's appetite (Halek, Adek, 2012). The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between food temperature and timeliness of distribution with leftover soft food in hospitalized patients at Buleleng District Hospital. The research design was a crosssectional observational study. This research was conducted in the inpatient room of the Buleleng District Hospital from March to April 2023. The number of samples was 63. Food temperature used a stick and gun thermometer, timeliness used a clock, leftover food used a digital scale. The data obtained was processed using the chi square test. The results showed that the sample was in the age range of 59-68 years as much as 27.0%. Male sex as much as 57.1%. As many as 39.7% have high school education. Private employment as much as 30.2%, as well as the types of diseases suffered by the sample types of internal medicine 44.4%. Morning and evening food temperatures have temperatures in the cold temperature category. Breakfast and dinner distribution times are not on time. Leftovers in the morning and evening leave food in the large category (> 20%). There is a relationship between the temperature of the food in the morning, afternoon and evening with leftover soft food in inpatients at the Buleleng District Hospital. There is a relationship between the punctuality of day and night distribution with leftover soft food in inpatients at Buleleng District Hospital
