Abstract
Exclusive breastfeeding is the act of providing breast milk to infants up to six months of age without providing additional food and drink except medicine. Exclusive breastfeeding is influenced by predisposing factors, namely knowledge, education, attitudes, occupation, psychological state, and socioeconomics. Reinforcing factors include health worker support and family support, enabling factors (formula milk promotion, health conditions, Early Breastfeeding Initiation (IMD). Health worker support will influence mothers in providing exclusive breastfeeding. This is related to the advice of health workers to provide exclusive breastfeeding to their babies. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between maternal employment status and health worker support with the success of exclusive breastfeeding in the Puskesmas II East Denpasar area. The study used an observational method with a cross sectional design. The sample was 66 people who were taken by purposive sampling. Data were collected through interviews using a questionnaire. Furthermore, it was presented with descriptive analyzed using the chi-square test. Based on statistical tests obtained p-value = 0.000 (<0.05). It can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between the mother's employment status and the success of exclusive breastfeeding in Puskesmas II East Denpasar working. There is a significant relationship between the support of health workers and the success of exclusive breastfeeding in the Puskesmas II East Denpasar working area with a p-value = 0.001 (<0.05).
