Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF KNOWLEDGE LEVEL OF DENTAL AND MOUTH HEALTH MAINTENANCE AND HYGIENE TEETH AND MOUTH IN EARLY ADOLESCENTS IN PED VILLAGE, NUSA PENIDA DISTRICT KLUNGKUNG DISTRICT YEAR 2023 ABSTRACT Dental and oral health plays an important role in general body health. Adolescents are one of the groups that are vulnerable to dental and oral diseases which stem from a lack of knowledge about dental and oral health and dental and oral hygiene. The aim of the study was to describe the Knowledge Level of Dental and Oral Health Maintenance and Dental and Oral Hygiene in Early Adolescents in Ped Village, Nusa Penida District, Klungkung Regency in 2023. This type of research was a descriptive study with 30 respondents. The type of data collected in this study was secondary data in the form of an assessment of the level of knowledge of dental and oral health and dental and oral hygiene examinations in early adolescents. From the results of research conducted on 30 early adolescents, it was shown that the highest level of knowledge was 11 people (36.67%) with an average of 67 criteria sufficient. The results of dental and oral hygiene research were the highest number of 18 people (60.00%) with an average of 2.60 criteria being. The conclusion of the research results is that early adolescents have knowledge of dental and oral health maintenance with sufficient criteria and moderate criteria for dental and oral hygiene. Keywords: Knowledge, Dental and Oral Hygiene in Early Adolescents GAMBARAN TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN PEMELIHARAAN KESEHATAN GIGI DAN MULUT SERTA KEBERSIHAN GIGI DAN MULUT PADA REMAJA AWAL DI DESA PED KECAMATAN NUSA PENIDA KABUPATEN KLUNGKUNG TAHUN 2023 ABSTRAK Kesehatan gigi dan mulut berperan penting pada kesehatan tubuh secara umum. Remaja merupakan salah satu kelompok yang rentan akan penyakit gigi dan mulut yang bersumber dari kurangnya pengetahuan tentang kesehatan gigi dan mulut serta kebersihan gigi dan mulut. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui Gambaran Tingkat Pengetahuan Pemeliharaan Kesehatan Gigi dan Mulut serta Kebersihan Gigi dan Mulut pada Remaja Awal di Desa Ped, Kecamatan Nusa Penida, Kabupaten Klungkung Tahun 2023. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan jumlah responden 30 orang. Jenis data yang dikumpulkan dalam penelitian ini adalah data sekunder berupa penilaian tentang tingkat pengetahuan kesehatan gigi dan mulut serta pemeriksaan kebersihan gigi dan mulut pada remaja awal. Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan terhadap 30 remaja awal menunjukan bahwa tingkat pengetahuan terbanyak yaitu 11 orang (36,67%) dengan rata-rata 67 kriteria cukup. Hasil penelitian kebersihan gigi dan mulut jumlah terbanyak 18 orang ( 60,00%) dengan rata-rata 2,60 kriteria sedang. Kesimpulan hasil penelitian bahwa remaja awal memiliki pengetahuan pemeliharaan kesehatan gigi dan mulut dengan kriteria cukup serta kebersihan gigi dan mulut kriteria sedang.
