Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF PARENTING STYLE FOR AUTISM CHILD IN UPTD DENPASAR DISABILITY CENTER 2023 Autism is a pervasive developmental disorder in children which has signs and symptoms that appear before the child is 3 years old. The prevalence of autistic children according to the Central Bureau of Statistics in Indonesia aged 5-19 is around 112,000 thousand people. . The purpose of this research is to describe the parenting pattern of parents who have autistic children at the UPTD Disability Service Center in Denpasar City in 2023. This research method uses a quantitative descriptive method with a cross-sectional approach which was carried out at the UPTD Disability Service Center in Denpasar City from March to April 2023 through the non-probability sampling technique, namely saturated sampling or total sampling of 34 respondents. The results showed that most of the parenting styles of parents who had autistic children at the UPTD Center for Disability Services in Denpasar City in 2023 applied democratic parenting as many as 23 (67.6%) of respondents and only 11 (42.4%) of respondents adopted authoritarian parenting. It can be concluded that this study shows that the parenting style given to autistic children is good for supporting their growth and development. Keywords: Autism, Parenting, Parents GAMBARAN POLA ASUH ORANG TUA PADA ANAK AUTIS DI UPTD PUSAT LAYANAN DISABILITAS KOTA DENPASAR TAHUN 2023 Autis merupakan gangguan perkembangan pervasif pada anak yang memiliki tanda gejala yang muncul sebelum anak berusia 3 tahun. Prevalensi anak autis menurut Badan Pusat Statistik di Indonesia usia 5-19 ada sekitar 112.000 ribu jiwa. Tujuan penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran pola asuh orang tua yang memiliki anak autis di UPTD Pusat Layanan Disabilitas Kota Denpasar Tahun 2023. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross-sectional yang dilakukan di UPTD Pusat Layanan Disabilitas Kota Denpasar pada bulan Maret sampai bulan April 2023 melalui teknik nonprobality sampling yaitu sampling jenuh atau total sampling sebanyak 34 responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebagian besar pola asuh orang tua yang memiliki anak autis di UPTD Pusat Layanan Disabilitas Kota Denpasar Tahun 2023 menerapkan pola asuh demokratis sebanyak 23 (67,6%) responden dan hanya 11 (42,4%) responden menerapkan pola asuh otoriter. Orang tua diharapkan dapat memberikan pola asuh yang ideal yakni campuran dari pola asuh demokratis dan otoriter bagi anak autis. Kata Kunci : Autis, Pola Asuh, Orang Tua
