Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF FAMILY SUPPORT IN DM PATIENTS TYPE II IN THE INTERNA CLINIC MANGUSADA HOSPITAL BADUNG YEAR 2023 Abstract According to the World Health Organization, diabetes is a chronic disease resulting from the pancreas not producing enough insulin (a hormone that regulates blood sugar or glucose). According to data from the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) (2021), it is estimated that 573 million people suffer from diabetes and this number is projected to reach 643 million in 2030 and 783 million in 2045. Indonesia is one of the countries in Southeast Asia that cannot be separated from the global influence. Diabetes Mellitus (DM) cases in Indonesia in 2021 will reach around 19.5 million. The purpose of this study aims to determine the description of family support in patients with type II diabetes mellitus in the internal clinic room of RSD Mangusada Badung. This type of research is descriptive, the sampling technique is consecutive sampling with a total sample of 83 people. The results of this study showed that out of 83 respondents, 73 of them were in the good support category (88.0%), and 10 people (12.0%) had sufficient family support. Researchers suggest nurses at Mangusada Badung Hospital to be able to provide education to families of patients with diabetes mellitus, in maintaining and providing information about the importance of family support in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. GAMBARAN DUKUNGAN KELUARGA PADA PASIEN DM TIPE II DI RUANG KLINIK INTERNA RSD MANGUSADA BADUNG TAHUN 2023 Abstrak Menurut World Health Organization, diabetes adalah penyakit kronis akibat dari pankreas tidak menghasilkan cukup insulin (hormon yang mengatur gula darah atau glukosa). Menurut data Internasional Diabetes Federation (IDF) (2021), diperkirakan bahwa 573 juta orang yang menderita diabetes dan jumlah ini diproyeksikan mencapai 643 juta pada tahun 2030, dan 783 juta pada tahun 2045. Indonesia merupakan salah satu negara di Asia Tenggara yang tidak terlepas dari pengaruh global tersebut. Kasus Diabetes Mellitus (DM) di Indonesia pada tahun 2021 mencapai sekitar 19,5 juta. Tujuan dari penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Gambaran Dukungan Keluarga pada Pasien Diabetes Melitus Tipe II di Ruang Klinik Interna RSD Mangusada Badung. Jenis penelitian deskriptif, teknik pengambilan sampel consecutive sampling dengan jumlah sampel 83 orang. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan dari 83 responden 73 orang diantaranya dengan kategori dukungan baik (88,0%), dan dukungan keluarga cukup sebanyak 10 orang (12,0%). Peneliti menyarankan perawat RSD Mangusada badung untuk dapat memberikan edukasi kepada keluarga pasien penderita diabetes melitus, dalam menjaga serta memberikan informasi tentang pentingnya dukungan keluarga pada pasien penderita diabetes melitus tipe 2.
