Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF FIRST AID MEASURES RABIES TRANSMISSION ANIMAL BITE IN THE SUB-DISTRICT OF SESETAN DENPASAR SOUTH YEAR 2023 ABSTRACT Rabies is a contagious animal disease caused by a virus that can be transmitted to humans. Rabies is a world health problem because it always causes death after the onset of clinical symptoms. If first aid for bites of rabies-transmitting animals is given quickly and precisely, rabies deaths can be prevented. The purpose of this study was to describe First Aid Measures for Rabies-Transmitting Animal Bites in Sesetan Village, South Denpasar District in 2023. This research method is a descriptive survey, sampling using total sampling with a total sample of 62 respondents. The results showed that the sex of the most respondents was male, namely with a total of 37 people (59.7%), the age of the most respondents was in the age range of 19-34 years with a total of 24 people (38.7%), the education of the most respondents was high school level /SMK as many as 29 people (46.8%). The first aid measures for people bitten by rabies-transmitting animals were in the good category, namely with a total of 27 people (43.5%) and the level of action was sufficient, namely with a total of 35 people (56.5%). The conclusion of this study is that there are still enough first aid measures for people bitten by rabies-transmitting animals. Suggestion: It is necessary for health workers at the puskesmas to carry out counseling to provide information about first aid for bites of rabies-transmitting animals. Keywords: Rabies, Action, First Aid GAMBARAN TINDAKAN PERTOLONGAN PERTAMA PENDERITA GIGITAN HEWAN PENULAR RABIES DI KELURAHAN SESETAN KECAMATAN DENPASAR SELATAN TAHUN 2023 ABSTRAK Rabies adalah penyakit hewan menular yang disebabkan oleh virus yang dapat menular ke manusia. Rabies merupakan masalah kesehatan dunia karena selalu menyebabkan kematian setelah timbulnya gejala klinis. Jika pertolongan pertama pada gigitan hewan penular rabies diberikan dengan cepat dan tepat, maka kematian rabies dapat dicegah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan Tindakan Pertolongan Pertama Penderita Gigitan Hewan Penular Rabies di Kelurahan Sesetan Kecamatan Denpasar Selatan Tahun 2023. Metode penelitian ini bersifat survei deskriptif, pengambilan sampel menggunakan total sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 62 responden. Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa berjenis kelamin responden terbanyak laki-laki yaitu dengan jumlah 37 orang (59,7%), usia responden terbanyak adalah rentangan usia 19-34 tahun dengan jumlah 24 orang (38,7%), pendidikan responden terbanyak adalah tingkat SMA/SMK yaitu sebanyak 29 orang (46,8%). Tindakan pertolongan pertama penderita gigitan hewan penular rabies pada kategori baik yaitu dengan jumlah 27 orang (43,5%) dan tingkat tindakan cukup yaitu dengan jumlah 35 orang (56,5%). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu masih terdapat tindakan pertolongan pertama penderita gigitan hewan penular rabies dalam kategori cukup. Saran : Kepada tenaga kesehatan di puskesmas perlu melaksanakan penyuluhan untuk memberikan informasi tentang pertolongan pertama gigitan hewan penular rabies.
