Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF SELF-ACCEPTANCE IN BREAST CANCER PATIENTS WITH CHEMOTHERAPY AT SANJIWANI GIANYAR HOSPITAL IN 2023 ABSTRACT One of the nursing problems that arise in breast cancer patients with chemotherapy is self-acceptance, where the patient is unable to accept his own deficiencies caused by the disease he is suffering from. The purpose of this study was to describe self-acceptance in breast cancer patients with chemotherapy at Sanjiwani Gianyar Hospital in 2023. This study used a quantitative descriptive method with a cross sectional approach. Sampling used the Non-Probability technique with the total sampling method, the number of samples was 70 research subjects. The instrument used is the Acceptance of Illness Scale (AIS). The results of the study showed that the majority of respondents aged > 35 years had low self-acceptance, namely 44 people (62.9%), 35 people with basic education (50.0%) had low self-acceptance, 43 people who were married (61, 4%) had low self-acceptance, suffered for 1-3 years as many as 21 respondents (30.0%) had low self-acceptance and research subjects had low self-acceptance of 46 respondents (65.7%). The conclusion that breast cancer patients with chemotherapy have low self-acceptance due to the effects of chemotherapy such as hair loss. Keywords: Self-acceptance, breast cancer, chemotherapy PAYUDARA DENGAN KEMOTERAPI DI RSUD SANJIWANI GIANYAR TAHUN 2023 ABSTRAK Masalah keperawatan yang muncul pada pasien kanker payudara dengan kemoterapi salah satunya adalah penerimaan diri, dimana pasien tidak mampu menerima kekurangan dirinya yang disebabkan oleh penyakit yang dideritanya. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui gambaran penerimaan diri pada pasien kanker payudara dengan kemoterapi di RSUD Sanjiwani Gianyar Tahun 2023. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Pengambilan sample menggunakan teknik Non- Probabilitas dengan metode total sampling, jumlah sample 70 subjek penelitian. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah Acceptance of Illnes Scale (AIS). Hasil penelitian mayoritas responden dengan usia > 35 tahun memiliki penerimaan diri yang rendah yaitu sebanyak 44 orang (62,9%), pendidikan dasar 35 orang (50,0%) orang memiliki penerimaan diri yang rendah, sudah kawin sebanyak 43 orang (61,4%) memiliki penerimaan diri yang rendah, lama menderita selama 1 – 3 tahun sebanyak 21 responden (30,0%) memiliki penerimaan diri yang rendah dan subjek penelitian memiliki penerimaan diri rendah sebanyak 46 responden (65,7%). Kesimpulan yang di dapat pasien kanker payudara dengan kemoterapi memiliki penerimaan diri rendah karena dampak kemoterapi seperti rambut rontok.
