Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF THIRST IN PATIENT WITH CHRONIC KIDNEY FAILURE UNDERGOING HEMODIALYSIS BADUNG MANGUSADA HOSPITAL IN 2023 ABSTRACT Chronic kidney failure is an abnormality or damage to the kidney in structure or function of the kidney for more than 3 months. The impact that can occur in patients with chronic kidney failure is excess fluid. Thirst is one of the triggers for patients with chronic kidney failure to experience excess fluid. The purpose of this study was to determine the thirst experienced by chronic kidney failure patients undergoing hemodialysis at the Mangusada Badung General Hospital in 2023. The research method used was a quantitative with a descriptive design. This research was conducted in April 2023 with the sampling technique used, namely purposive sampling with a total of 70 samples. The analysis technique used is descriptive statistical anaylisis. The results showed that the average age of the respondents was 54 years with the majority of respondents being male, namely 51 respondents (72.9%), the average length of the respondent undergoing hemodialysis was 34 months, the average patient's dry weight was 60 kg and The thirst category that was experienced the most was the category of moderate thirst with a total of 55 respondents (78.6%). This research activity is expected to be used as a source of learning and basic data in further research activities as a comparison to get maximum results. Keywords: thirst, chronic kidney failure , hemodialysis   GAMBARAN RASA HAUS PADA PASIEN GAGAL GINJAL KRONIS YANG MENJALANI HEMODIALISIS DI RSD MANGUSADA BADUNG TAHUN 2023 ABSTRAK Gagal ginjal kronis adalah abnormalitas atau rusaknya ginjal pada struktur ataupun fungsi ginjal dalam kurun waktu lebih dari 3 bulan. Dampak yang dapat terjadi pada pasien gagal ginjal kronis adalah kelebihan cairan. Rasa haus menjadi salah satu pemicu pasien gagal ginjal kronis mengalami kelebihan cairan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui rasa haus yang dialami pasien gagal ginjal kronis yang menjalani hemodialisis di RSD Mangusada Badung Tahun 2023. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain deskriptif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan April 2023 dengan teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan yaitu purposive sampling dengan jumlah 70 sampel. Teknik analisis yang digunakan yaitu analisis statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata - rata usia responden 54 tahun dengan responden terbanyak berjenis kelamin laki - laki yaitu 51 responden (72,9%), rata - rata lama menjalani hemodialisis responden yaitu 34 bulan, rata - rata berat badan kering pasien adalah 60 kg dan kategori rasa haus yang dialami terbanyak yaitu kategori haus sedang dengan jumlah 55 responden (78,6%). Kegiatan penelitian ini diharapkan dapat dijadikan sumber pembelajaran dan data dasar pada kegiatan penelitian selanjutnya sebagai perbandingan untuk mendapatkan hasil yang lebih maksimal.
