Abstract
Indonesia is currently facing multiple nutritional problems, namely the problem of malnutrition and the problem of overnutrition. Nutritional problems that tend to often arise in adolescence is underweight. Underweight is caused by the level of consumption of nutrients such as energy that does not meet the body's needs, while the incidence of overnutrition occurs due to an imbalance between energy intake consumed and the amount of energy expended. This study aims to determine the differences in the level of consumption of nutrients and nutritional status based on the perception of body image of students at SMA Negeri 8 Denpasar. This type of research is observational with the research design used being cross sectional. The population is all 2nd-grade students at SMA Negeri 8 Denpasar with the selection of samples done by Simple Random Sampling. Collecting data in this study using primary data and secondary data. Primary data were obtained from weight, height, and direct interviews with respondents. The data analysis technique was carried out by univariate and bivariate analysis with the Spearman Rank test using the SPSS program. The results showed that of the 97 samples, 53% had a negative body image perception, 53% had a severe level of energy consumption deficit, 73% had a low protein consumption level, and 23% had a nutritional status in the undernutrition category. The conclusion of the study is that there is a difference between the level of energy consumption and the perception of body image (p = 0.002). There was a difference between the level of protein consumption and the perception of body image (p=0.022). There is a difference between nutritional status and body image perception (p=0.002).
