Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF DRY CUPPING THERAPY TO HYPERTENSION PATIENTS IN BANJAR ANYAR BANJAR ANYAR VILLAGE SUB DISTRICT OF KEDIRI TABANAN REGENCY IN 2022 ABSTRACT Hypertension is a non-communicable disease that is one of the causes of premature death in the world. This study aims to overview dry cupping therapy for hypertension patients in Banjar Anyar, Kediri Tabanan Regency, in 2022. The type of research used is descriptive with a one-group pretest-posttest approach.The sampling technique used in this study was total sampling with 63 research samples. The results of blood pressure before being given dry cupping therapy are as follows 30 people (47,6%) had hypertension grade I, and the lowest data was 12 people (19,0%) in the pre-hypertension category.After being given dry cupping therapy, the results are 27 people (42,9%) experienced a decrease in blood pressure in the normal type, and 3 people (4,8%) still had blood pressure in hypertension grade II. Dry cupping therapy causes capillary dilatation in the cupping area, causing a relaxation response and increasing the microcirculation of blood vessels and joint muscles so that the respondent's circulatory system feels relaxed after the intervention. The respondents' suggestions are to keep applying a healthy lifestyle and implement dry cupping therapy at home. Keywords: therapy, dry cupping, and hypertension
