Abstract
DESCRIPTION OF THE LEVEL OF MATERNAL KNOWLEDGE ABOUT PNEUMONIA IN TODDLERS AT PATAS VILLAGE, GEROKGAK SUB�DISTRICT, BULELENG DISTRICT IN 2021 ABSTRAK Pneumonia is an pneumonia disease caused by bacteria, viruses and fungi that are everywhere which causes fever, colds, coughs, shortness of breath during low immunity of infants and toddlers due to cigarette smoke, smoke / dust, malnutrition and others. About 800,000 to 1 million children under five die each year from pneumonia. Many factors can influence the increasing incidence of pneumonia in toddlers, both from the individual aspects of the child, the behavior of the parents (mother), and the environment. This study aims to describe the level of maternal knowledge about pneumonia in toddlers in Patas village, Gerokgak sub-district, Buleleng district in 2021. This type of research uses a descriptive survey with a quantitative approach and uses a descriptive observational research design. simple random sampling. The results of the study found that the level of knowledge of mothers obtained a level of knowledge in the good category 25 people (30.9%), enough 36 people (44.4%), less 20 people (24.7%) The conclusion of this study is that most respondents have a sufficient level of knowledge of 36 respondents (44.4%). It is hoped that mothers with toddlers to always maintain environmental cleanliness and keep toddlers away from exposure to cigarette smoke in order to prevent pneumonia in toddlers and improve health status.
