Abstract

abstract skripsi : Contraception is one of the government's efforts to reduce the rate of population growth in Indonesia related to pregnancy prevention. The average type of contraception used in Bali are the AKDR, Injection, pills, condoms, steady contraception, and implant. Implant contraceptive users in Denpasar are the lowest compared to other contraceptives, including implant acceptor in the Community Health Center 1 of North Denpasar and Community Health Center III of South Denpasar. The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics of implant contraceptive acceptors in the Community Health Center of Denpasar. This type of descriptive study used the survey method documentation with cross sectional appoach. The sample used a total sampling technique which includes the entire population of implant acceptors totaling 70 respondents. The result showed implant contraceptive acceptors were at reproductive age, namely 20-35 years (75,7%), high school educated (80,0%), working acceptors (71,4%), and with multiparity (64,3%) where the work can affect activities for implant users that need to be considered. Implant can be used by women who have children, do not have children, and who do not want to get pregnant again and refust sterilization. The Conclusion of this study is that in counseling prospective implant acceptors is more optimal in the risks of use related to the work that the acceptor engages. It is recommended for further this study to develop analytical method, actors and samples related to implant use. Keywords : Age, Education, Employment, Parity, Implant
