Abstract

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN KNOWLEDGE ABOUT HEPATITIS B AND PREGNANT WOMEN'S MOTIVATION TO UNDERGO EARLY DETECTION AT PUBLIC HEALTH CENTER II EAST DENPASAR IN 2026 Hepatitis B is a global health problem with the risk of vertical transmission from mother to child. Early detection through HBsAg testing in pregnant women is an important part of the triple elimination program, but screening coverage at Public Health Center II, East Denpasar, remains suboptimal. Pregnant women's knowledge about Hepatitis B is suspected to be related to their motivation to undertake early detection. This study aimed to determine the relationship between knowledge about Hepatitis B and pregnant women's motivation to undertake early detection at Public Health Center II, East Denpasar, in 2026. This study used a quantitative correlational design with a cross-sectional approach. The study population consisted of 62 pregnant women using a total sampling technique. Data were collected using a knowledge and motivation questionnaire, then analyzed using the Spearman Rank test with a significance level of α=0.05. The results showed that most respondents had a fair to good level of knowledge, with motivation for early detection in the moderate to high category. Statistical analysis showed a significant relationship between knowledge about Hepatitis B and the motivation of pregnant women to seek early detection (p<0.05). It was concluded that the better a pregnant woman's knowledge about Hepatitis B, the higher her motivation to seek early detection. Continuous health education is needed to increase awareness and participation of pregnant women in HBsAg testing. Keywords: Hepatitis B, knowledge, motivation, early detection, pregnant women. HUBUNGAN PENGETAHUAN TENTANG HEPATITIS B DENGAN MOTIVASI IBU HAMIL MELAKUKAN DETEKSI DINI DI PUSKESMAS II DENPASAR TIMUR TAHUN 2026 Hepatitis B merupakan masalah kesehatan global yang berisiko menyebabkan penularan vertikal dari ibu ke bayi. Deteksi dini melalui pemeriksaan HBsAg pada ibu hamil menjadi bagian penting program triple eliminasi, namun cakupan pemeriksaan di Puskesmas II Denpasar Timur masih belum optimal. Pengetahuan ibu hamil tentang Hepatitis B diduga berhubungan dengan motivasi melakukan deteksi dini. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan tentang Hepatitis B dengan motivasi ibu hamil melakukan deteksi dini di Puskesmas II Denpasar Timur Tahun 2026. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuantitatif korelasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 62 ibu hamil dengan teknik total sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner pengetahuan dan motivasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji Spearman Rank dengan tingkat signifikansi α=0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebagian besar responden memiliki tingkat pengetahuan kategori baik sebesar 87,1%, dengan motivasi deteksi dini sebagian besar berada pada kategori tinggi sebesar 91,9%. Analisis statistik menunjukkan terdapat hubungan signifikan antara pengetahuan tentang Hepatitis B dengan motivasi ibu hamil melakukan deteksi dini (p<0,05). Disimpulkan bahwa semakin baik pengetahuan ibu hamil tentang Hepatitis B, semakin tinggi motivasi untuk melakukan deteksi dini. Edukasi kesehatan yang berkelanjutan diperlukan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan partisipasi ibu hamil dalam pemeriksaan HBsAg.
