Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF URINE PROTEIN IN MEN CONSUMING ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES AT BANJAR JEROKAPAL, GELGEL VILLAGE, KLUNGKUNG ABSTRACT Alcohol consumption can increase the risk of impaired kidney function characterized by proteinuria. This study aims to identify the urinary protein profile in men who consume alcoholic beverages in Banjar Jerokapal, Gelgel Village, Klungkung. This is a descriptive observational study, involving 58 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data were obtained through interviews and urine protein analysis using a dipstick technique. The results showed that the majority of respondents were adults (69,0%), consumed a combination of arak, tuak, and beer (36,2%), had a history of alcohol consumption >5 years (86,2%), and consumed alcohol infrequently, 1–2 times a week (48,3%). The results of the urine protein test showed that 46 respondents (79,3%) were negative, 9 respondents (15,5%) were positive 1, and 3 respondents (5,2%) were positive 2. Positive proteinuria results were more common in the adult and elderly age groups, found in respondents who had a history of consumption >5 years, and more common in respondents who consumed alcohol infrequently. It can be concluded that, most men who consumed alcoholic beverages in Banjar Jerokapal showed negative urine protein levels, but there were several respondents with positive proteinuria which indicated a risk of impaired kidney function. GAMBARAN PROTEIN URINE PADA PRIA YANG MENGONSUMSI MINUMAN BERALKOHOL DI BANJAR JEROKAPAL, DESA GELGEL, KLUNGKUNG ABSTRAK Konsumsi alkohol dapat meningkatkan risiko gangguan fungsi ginjal yang ditandai dengan proteinuria. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi profil protein urine pada pria yang mengonsumsi minuman beralkohol di Banjar Jerokapal, Desa Gelgel, Klungkung. Penelitian ini merupakan studi observasional deskriptif, melibatkan 58 responden yang dipilih melalui sampling purposif. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara dan analisis protein urine menggunakan teknik dipstick. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas responden berusia dewasa (69,0%), mengonsumsi kombinasi arak, tuak, dan bir (36,2%), memiliki riwayat konsumsi alkohol >5 tahun (86,2%), serta mengonsumsi alkohol secara jarang, 1–2 kali seminggu (48,28%). Hasil tes protein urine menunjukkan bahwa 46 responden (79,3%) negatif, 9 responden (15,5%) positif 1, dan 3 responden (5,2%) positif 2. Hasil positif proteinuria lebih banyak ditemukan pada kelompok usia dewasa dan lansia, lebih sering ditemukan pada responden yang mengonsumsi arak, baik secara tunggal maupun kombinasi, ditemukan pada responden yang memiliki riwayat konsumsi >5 tahun, dan lebih banyak ditemukan pada responden yang mengonsumsi alkohol secara jarang. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa, sebagian besar pria yang mengonsumsi minuman beralkohol di Banjar Jerokapal menunjukkan tingkat protein urine negatif, namun ada beberapa responden dengan proteinuria positif yang mengindikasikan risiko gangguan fungsi ginjal.
