Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF CREATININE LEVELS IN HYPERTENSION PATIENTS AT PUSKESMAS II DENPASAR BARAT ABSTRACT Background: Long-term and uncontrolled hypertension can cause damage to the renal blood vessels, which is indicated by an increase in blood creatinine levels.Objective: This study aims to determine the overview of creatinine levels in hypertension patients at Puskesmas II Denpasar Barat based on age, gender, duration of suffering from hypertension, and medication adherence.Methods: This research used a descriptive method with a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique used was Non-Probability Sampling with a Purposive Sampling method, involving 44 respondents. Data were collected through interviews, questionnaires, and serum creatinine examinations using the Jeff. Results: The study showed that the majority of respondents were in the elderly age group with 37 people (84.1%), male with 25 people (56.8%), had a history of suffering for >5 years with 32 people (72.7%), and had high medication adherence with 20 people (45.5%). Normal creatinine levels were found in 27 people (61.4%), while high creatinine levels were found in 17 people (38.6%). High creatinine levels were found in elderly respondents with 15 people (40.5%), males with 11 people (44.0%), those with a history of suffering for >5 years with 13 people (40.6%), and those with low medication adherence with 8 people (80.0%). Among the 44 respondents who were the subjects of the study, the lowest creatinine level found was 0.5 mg/dL, the highest was 5.8 mg/dL, and the average creatinine level was 1.5 mg/dL. Conclusion: Most hypertension patients have normal creatinine levels; however, elevated creatinine levels are predominantly found in the elderly, males, and those suffering for more than 5 years. Keywords: Hypertension, Creatinine GAMBARAN KADAR KREATININ PADA PENDERITA HIPERTENSI DI PUSKESMAS II DENPASAR BARAT ABSTRAK Latar Belakang: Hipertensi yang berlangsung lama dan tidak terkontrol dapat menyebabkan kerusakan pada pembuluh darah ginjal yang ditandai dengan peningkatan kadar kreatinin dalam darah. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran kadar kreatinin pada penderita hipertensi di Puskesmas II Denpasar Barat berdasarkan karakteristik usia, jenis kelamin, lama menderita hipertensi, dan kepatuhan mengonsumsi obat. Metode: Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan Nonprobability Sampling dengan metode Purposive Sampling yang melibatkan 44 responden. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, kuesioner, dan pemeriksaan kadar kreatinin serum dengan metode Jeff. Hasil: penelitian menunjukkan mayoritas responden adalah kelompok usia lansia sebanyak 37 orang (84,1%, berjenis kelamin laki-laki sebanyak 25 orang (56,8%), memiliki riwayat lama menderita >5 Tahun sebanyak 32 orang (72,7%, dan memiliki kepatuhan tinggi dalam mengonsumsi obat sebanyak 20 orang (45,5%). Kadar kreatinin normal ditemukan sebanyak 27 orang (61,4%), sedangkan kadar kreatinin tinggi sebanyak17 orang (38,6%). Kadar kreatinin tinggi ditemukan pada responden berusia lansia sebanyak 15 orang (40,5%), berjenis kelamin laki-laki sebanyak 11 orang (44,0%), memiliki riwayat lama menderita >5 tahun sebanyak sebanyak 13 orang (40,6%), dan memiliki kepatuhan rendah dalam mengonsumsi obat sebanyak 8 orang (80,0%). Dari 44 responden yang menjadi subjek penelitian ditemukan kadar keratinin terendah 0,5 mg/dL, tertinggi 5,8 mg/dL, dan rata rata kadar keratinin adalah 1,5 mg/dL. Kesimpulan: Sebagian besar penderita hipertensi memiliki kadar kreatinin normal, namun peningkatan kadar kreatinin banyak ditemukan pada lansia, laki-laki, dan lama menderita lebih dari 5 tahun.
