Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF HEMOGLOBIN LEVELS IN PATIENTS WITH CHRONIC KIDNEY FAILURE AFTER UNDERGOING HEMODIALYSIS AT RSUD NEGARA ABSTRACT Chronic kidney failure is a progressive decline in kidney function that requires patients to undergo hemodialysis therapy. One of the common complications is anemia, characterized by low hemoglobin levels due to decreased erythropoietin production. This study aimed to determine the description of hemoglobin levels in chronic kidney disease patients after undergoing hemodialysis at RSUD Negara. This study used a descriptive method with a cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 39 respondents selected using accidental sampling technique. Data were obtained through interviews, body mass index measurements, and hemoglobin examination using Hematology Analyzer Dymind. The results showed that all respondents had low hemoglobin levels, totaling 39 people (100%). Low hemoglobin levels were mostly found in male respondents totaling 22 people (56%), pre-elderly age group 45–59 years totaling 22 people (56%), normal body mass index totaling 16 people (41%), and duration of hemodialysis ≥ 24 months totaling 35 people (90%). In conclusion, all chronic kidney disease patients after undergoing hemodialysis at RSUD Negara had low hemoglobin levels, therefore routine monitoring of hemoglobin levels is needed. Keywords: chronic kidney failure, hemoglobin, hemodialysis GAMBARAN KADAR HEMOGLOBIN PADA PASIEN GAGAL GINJAL KRONIK SESUDAH MENJALANI HEMODIALISA DI RSUD NEGARA ABSTRAK Gagal ginjal kronik merupakan penurunan fungsi ginjal progresif yang menyebabkan pasien memerlukan terapi hemodialisa. Salah satu komplikasi yang sering terjadi adalah anemia yang ditandai dengan kadar hemoglobin rendah akibat menurunnya produksi eritropoietin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran kadar hemoglobin pada pasien gagal ginjal kronik sesudah menjalani hemodialisa di RSUD Negara. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan rancangan cross sectional. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 39 responden yang dipilih menggunakan teknik accidental sampling. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara, pengukuran indeks massa tubuh, dan pemeriksaan kadar hemoglobin menggunakan alat Hematology Analyzer. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan seluruh responden memiliki kadar hemoglobin rendah sebanyak 39 orang (100%). Kadar hemoglobin rendah paling banyak ditemukan pada responden laki-laki sebanyak 22 orang (56%), kelompok usia pra-lansia 45–59 tahun sebanyak 22 orang (56%), indeks massa tubuh normal sebanyak 16 orang (41%), dan lama menjalani hemodialisa ≥ 24 bulan sebanyak 35 orang (90%). Simpulan penelitian ini adalah seluruh pasien gagal ginjal kronik sesudah menjalani hemodialisa di RSUD Negara memiliki kadar hemoglobin rendah sehingga diperlukan pemantauan kadar hemoglobin secara rutin.
