Abstract

NURSING CARE FOR MRS.O WITH INEFFECTIVE BREASTFEEDING DUE TO POSTPARTUM CONDITION IN DARA WARD OF WANGAYA REGIONAL GENERAL HOSPITAL 2026 ABSTRACT The postpartum period is an important phase that begins after childbirth and continues for up to six weeks, during which mothers experience physical and psychological changes while gradually and continuously adapting to the breastfeeding process. Effective breastfeeding is very important because it plays a role in fulfilling the nutritional needs of infants and supports their optimal growth and development from an early stage. However, the success of breastfeeding can be influenced by various factors such as maternal knowledge, physiological conditions, family support, and the role of healthcare providers. One effort that can be made to increase breast milk production is breast care using the Woolwich massage technique, which can help facilitate the release of breast milk. This case study aims to describe Nursing Care for Mrs. O with Ineffective Breastfeeding Due to Postpartum Conditions in the Dara Ward of Wangaya Regional General Hospital in 2026. The method used was descriptive with a case study approach involving one postpartum mother. Data were collected through the nursing process, including assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation, and systematic evaluation. Nursing interventions provided included education on proper breastfeeding techniques and breastfeeding education. The results showed that after comprehensive nursing care was provided, the mother was able to perform proper breastfeeding techniques, breast milk production increased, and the infant’s nutritional needs were optimally fulfilled. Appropriate nursing care can support the success of effective breastfeeding in postpartum mothers. Keywords: Nursing Care, Postpartum, Ineffective Breastfeeding ASUHAN KEPERAWATAN PADA NY. O DENGAN MENYUSUI TIDAK EFEKTIF AKIBAT KONDISI PASCA PARTUM DI RUANG DARA RSUD WANGAYA TAHUN 2026 ABSTRAK Masa postpartum merupakan periode penting yang dimulai setelah persalinan hingga enam minggu, dimana ibu mengalami perubahan fisik dan psikologis serta mulai beradaptasi dalam proses menyusui secara bertahap dan berkesinambungan. Menyusui efektif menjadi hal yang sangat penting karena berperan dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan nutrisi bayi serta mendukung pertumbuhan dan perkembangan secara optimal sejak dini. Namun, keberhasilan menyusui dapat dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor seperti pengetahuan ibu, kondisi fisiologis, dukungan keluarga, serta peran tenaga kesehatan. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan produksi ASI adalah melalui perawatan payudara dengan massage woolwich. sehingga bisa membantu memperlancar pengeluaran ASI. Studi kasus ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan Asuhan Keperawatan pada Ny. O dengan Menyusui Tidak Efektif Akibat Kondisi Pascapartum di Ruang Dara RSUD Wangaya tahun 2026. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus pada satu ibu postpartum. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui proses keperawatan yang meliputi pengkajian, diagnosis keperawatan, perencanaan, implementasi, dan evaluasi secara sistematis. Intervensi keperawatan yang diberikan meliputi edukasi teknik menyusui yang benar, serta pemberian edukasi menyusui. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa setelah dilakukan asuhan keperawatan secara komprehensif, ibu mampu melakukan teknik menyusui dengan benar, produksi ASI meningkat, serta kebutuhan nutrisi bayi terpenuhi secara optimal. Asuhan keperawatan yang tepat dapat mendukung keberhasilan menyusui efektif pada ibu postpartum. Kata Kunci : Asuhan Keperawatan, Postpartum, Menyusui Tidak Efektif
