Abstract

Comprehensive midwifery care from pregnancy to postpartum is an effort to reduce the Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) and Infant Mortality Rate (IMR). This report aims to identify the outcomes of care provided to Mother 'EM' from 17 weeks of pregnancy until postpartum, and the care provided to the newborn is in accordance with standards. Case determination methods included interviews, examinations, observations, and documentation. Care was provided from September 2024 to March 2025. The development of Mother 'EM's' pregnancy was physiological, care was given according to standards, and complementary practices such as prenatal yoga were implemented to reduce the back pain experienced by the mother. The mother gave birth at 40 weeks gestation vaginally, which lasted for 2 hours without complications, receiving loving care, relaxation techniques, and pain relief by performing counterpressure massages involving the husband. The baby was born at 07:57 WITA, cried immediately, showed active movement, and successful early initiation of breastfeeding (IMD) was conducted, with a birth weight of 300 gram. During the postpartum period, the involution process of the uterus, lochia discharge, lactation, and psychological aspects are proceeding normally. Oxytocin massage is performed to facilitate breastfeeding, and the mother has already been using an implant contraceptive. The growth and development of the baby from birth to 42 days is proceeding normally; screening examinations for Congenital Heart Disease, Congenital Hypothyroidism, and complementary baby massage have been conducted to assist in stimulating the growth and development of the baby. Overall, the care during pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum, and for the baby has met the standards. Midwifery care should be performed comprehensively to monitor and detect risks during pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum, and infant care.
