Abstract

ABSTRACT Comprehensive and continuous midwifery care is provided for early detection to prevent complications that can threaten the life of the mother and baby and is expected to reduce maternal mortality rate (MMR) and infant mortality rate (IMR). This report purposed to know the result of midwifery care that given to Mrs. ‘SD’ started from second trimester of pregnancy until 42 days postpartum included newborn who given midwifery care according to standard. This study used case study method with data collection technique through interview, examination, observation and documentation. The care was given from September 2024 until April 2025. The development of pregnancy’s Mrs. ‘SD’ looks around fisiology. The therapies have been approriate with the result of collaboration and references. The labor through by vaginal delivery without complication. The first stage of labor spend 2 hours 20 minute, the second stage in 25 minutes, the third stage in 10 minutes and the monitoring at the fourth stage was normal. The baby was born immediately crying, the muscle tone was active, the skin redness and the birth weight was 3300 grams. The process of uterine involution, discharge of lochea and lactation during the important to provide standard midwifery care as an effort to monitor and detect complications and complication in the process of pregnancy, labor, post partum and the newborn.
