Abstract
THE EFFECT OF HANDWASHING WITH SOAP (CTPS) HEALTH EDUCATION VIDEOS ON THE KNOWLEDGE OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS THE STUDY WAS CONDUCTED AT SD NEGERI 1 GELGEL, KLUNGKUNG REGENCY, IN 2025 Based on the 2024 diarrhea incident report in the working area of UPTD Puskesmas Klungkung I, Gelgel Village recorded the highest number of cases, with 131 cases occurring among children aged 7–12 years. This study aims to determine the effect of health education videos on handwashing with soap (CTPS) on the knowledge of students at SD Negeri 1 Gelgel, Klungkung Regency. This research is a quantitative study with a pre-experimental design, using a One Group Pretest-Posttest approach. The average knowledge score before the educational intervention using the video was 6.97%, while the average score after the intervention increased to 14.05%, indicating a 7.08% improvement. Prior to the bivariate analysis, a normality test was conducted using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test on the pretest and posttest results. If the data were normally distributed, the Paired Sample T-Test was used; otherwise, the Wilcoxon test was applied. The results of the Wilcoxon test showed a p-value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). Since the significance value was less than 0.05, H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted, indicating a statistically significant effect before and after the educational intervention using video media. It is assumed that the information provided was well understood by the respondents, leading to an increase in their knowledge about proper handwashing with soap after receiving health education through video media. Keywords: CTPS, Knowledge, Educational Video PENGARUH VIDEO EDUKASI KESEHATAN CUCI TANGAN PAKAI SABUN (CTPS) TERHADAP PENGETAHUAN SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR Studi dilaksanakan di SD Negeri 1 Gelgel Kabupaten Klungkung Tahun 2025 Berdasarkan data laporan kejadian diare di wilayah kerja UPTD Puskesmas Klungkung I tahun 2024, Desa Gelgel mencatat jumlah kasus tertinggi, yaitu 131 kasus pada anak-anak usia 7-12 tahun. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh video edukasi kesehatan cuci tangan pakai sabun (CTPS) terhadap pengetahuan siswa SD Negeri 1 Gelgel Kabupaten Klungkung. Jenis penelitian ini termasuk penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian Pre-experiment, dengan rancangan One Group Pretest-Posttest. Rata-rata nilai pengetahuan sebelum penyuluhan menggunakan video edukasi yaitu 6,97% dan rata-rata nilai pengetahuan sesudah penyuluhan yaitu 14,05% dengan persentase peningkatan sebesar 7,08%. Sebelum melakukan uji bivariat, dilakukan uji kenormalan data menggunakan uji Kolmogorov-Smirnov terhadap hasil pretest-posttest. Jika data berdistribusi normal, maka analisis dilakukan dengan Paired Sample T-Test. Namun, jika data tidak berdistribusi normal, maka digunakan uji Wilcoxon. Berdasarkan hasil Uji Wilcoxon menunjukkan p-value sebesar 0,000 (p < 0,05). Karena nilai signifikansi lebih kecil dari 0,05, maka H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Sehingga dapat diartikan terdapat pengaruh yang bermakna sebelum dengan sesudah diberikan penyuluhan dengan media video edukasi. Hal tersebut diasumsikan bahwa informasi yang diberikan kepada responden dapat dipahami dengan baik sehingga terjadi peningkatan nilai pengetahuan responden tentang cuci tangan pakai sabun setelah diberikan edukasi kesehatan dengan media video edukasi.
