Abstract

DESCRIPTION OF DENTAL AND ORAL HYGIENE LEVEL IN TEENAGERS SEKA TERUNA TERUNI LIKE CHANTI IN BANJAR SABA BLAHBATUH DISTRICT GIANYARREGENCY IN 2025 ABSTRACT Dental and oral health is an essential integral part of the overall health of the body. The dental and oral health problems of the Indonesian people, which is 57.6%, shows that more than half of the Indonesian population has dental and oral health problems. In Gianyar Regency, the percentage of children brushing their teeth every day is 92.19% and the data on the percentage of children brushing their teeth correctly in Gianyar Regency is 7.99%. Maintaining good dental and oral health will be beneficial for the surrounding tissues and teeth. The purpose of this study is to provide an overview of the level of dental and oral hygiene in Seka Teruna Teruni Suka Chanti adolescents in Banjar Saba, Blahbatuh District, Gianyar Regency in 2025. This research method is descriptive with a total of 73 respondents who were examined for dental and oral hygiene. The results of the research on the level of dental and oral hygiene in the good category were 30 people who showed a percentage of 41.1%, the medium category was 33 people with a percentage of 45.2% and bad as many as 10 people with a percentage of 13.7% with an average dental hygiene value of 1.65 including moderate criteria. The conclusion of this study is that the frequency of dental and oral hygiene levels of adolescents is mostly in the medium category and the average dental and oral hygiene is also in the medium category. Keywords: Dental and Oral Hygiene; Adolescent; Seka Teruna Teruni Likes Chanti GAMBARAN TINGKAT KEBERSIHAN GIGI DAN MULUT PADA REMAJA SEKA TERUNA TERUNI SUKA CHANTI DI BANJAR SABA KECAMATAN BLAHBATUH KABUPATEN GIANYAR TAHUN 2025 ABSTRAK Kesehatan gigi dan mulut merupakan bagian integral yang esensial dari kesehatan tubuh secara umum. Masalah kesehatan gigi dan mulut masyarakat Indonesia yakni sebesar 57,6% menunjukkan bahwa lebih dari setengah penduduk Indonesia mengalami masalah kesehatan gigi dan mulut. Di Kabupaten Gianyar menunjukkan presentase anak menyikat gigi setiap hari sebesar 92,19% dan data presentase anak menyikat gigi yang benar di Kabupaten Gianyar sebesar 7,99%. Menjaga kesehatan gigi serta mulut yang baik nanti bermanfaat bagi jaringan serta gigi di sekitarnya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah memberikan gambaran tingkat kebersihan gigi dan mulut pada remaja Seka Teruna Teruni Suka Chanti di Banjar Saba, Kecamatan Blahbatuh, Kabupaten Gianyar Tahun 2025. Metode penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 73 orang yang dilakukan pemeriksaan terhadap kebersihan gigi dan mulut. Hasil penelitian tingkat kebersihan gigi dan mulut dalam kategori baik sebanyak 30 orang yang menunjukkan presentase 41.1 %, kategori sedang sebanyak 33 orang dengan presentase 45.2 % dan buruk sebanyak 10 orang dengan presentase 13.7 % dengan rata-rata nilai kebersihan gigi 1,65 termasuk kriteria sedang. Kesimpulan penelitian ini frekuensi tingkat kebersihan gigi dan mulut remaja mayoritas dalam kategori sedang dan rata-rata kebersihan gigi dan mulut juga dalam kategori sedang.
