Abstract
ASUHAN KEPERAWATAN BERSIHAN JALAN NAPAS TIDAK EFEKTIF DENGAN TERAPI ACTIVE CYCLE OF BREATHINGTECHNIQUE (ACBT) PADA PASIEN YANG MENGALAMI TUBERKULOSIS DI RSUD TABANAN Ni Made Yogi Martini Puspita Yanti. Program Studi Profesi Ners Poltekkes Kemenkes Denpasar Email : yogimrt09@gmail.com ABSTRACT Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease that attacks the lungs and disrupts the function of the respiratory system, one of which causes nursing problems in the form of ineffective airway clearance due to secretions that are difficult to remove. One non-pharmacological approach that can be used to help remove secretions is Active Cycle of Breathing Technique (ACBT) therapy. Objective: To describe nursing care for tuberculosis patients with ineffective airway clearance using ACBT therapy. The method used is descriptive narrative based on a case study of one pulmonary TB patient treated in the Cempaka Isolation Room, Tabanan Hospital. Nursing care is provided comprehensively including assessment, diagnosis, intervention planning, implementation, and evaluation, with the main intervention in the form of ACBT which is carried out three times a day for three consecutive days with a duration of 15-20 minutes. Results: The evaluation showed significant improvements in the patient's condition, characterized by a more effective cough, decreased sputum production, and the disappearance of additional breath sounds such as wheezing and rhonchi. The frequency and pattern of breathing also returned to normal. Conclusion: ACBT therapy is effective in helping to improve airway clearance in tuberculosis patients. Suggestion: ACBT can be recommended as an additional non-pharmacological intervention in the management of nursing care for TB patients with ineffective airway clearance problems. Keywords: Tuberculosis, ineffective airway clearance, ACBT therapy
