Abstract
PHYTOCHEMICAL SCREENING AND ANTI-INFLAMMATORY ACTIVITY TEST OF ROBUSTA COFFEE LEAF TEA ABSTRACT Inflammation is a local protective response to tissue damage caused by chemical substances, physical trauma or microorganisms. Robusta coffee leaf tea is used in an effort to prevent and reduce the risk of inflammation while utilizing natural materials that are around. This study aims to determine the content of secondary metabolite compounds, anti-inflammatory activity, and organoleptic test of robusta coffee leaf tea. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The content of secondary metabolite compounds was determined by qualitative tests, anti-inflammatory activity was determined by the red blood cell membrane stabilization method, and organoleptic tests with color, aroma, and taste parameters were determined by 30 panelists. Phytochemical screening test showed robusta coffee leaf tea was positive for flavonoids, phenols, tannins and saponins. The anti-inflammatory activity test results of concentration
