Abstract
DESCRIPTION OF URIC ACID LEVELS IN PRODUCTIVE AGE AT KUBU VILLAGE, KUBU DISTRICT, KARANGASEM DISTRICT ABSTRACT Background: Uric acid is one of the end products of catabolism or the breakdown of purines in the body. The prevalence of gout tends to have an impact on young people, especially productive ages, which will have an impact on reducing work productivity. Changes in lifestyle, habits and routines that can have a negative impact on health. Purpose: To determine the description of uric acid levels in people of productive age. Method: This is research uses descriptive writing with a purposive sampling technique involving 44 respondents from a population of 3,245. The research was conducted in November 2023-April 2024 in Kubu Village, Kubu District, Karangasem Regency. The method for checking uric acid levels used is POCT. Results: The research showed that 20 respondents (45,45%) had high uric acid levels, 24 respondents (54,54%) had normal uric acid levels. Conclusion: Based on the research results, it can be concluded that high uric acid levels occur in pre-elderly respondents who are male, do not attend school, and have an obese BMI. Keywords: Uric acid levels, productive age GAMBARAN KADAR ASAM URAT PADA MASYARAKAT USIA PRODUKTIF DI DESA KUBU, KESCAMATAN KUBU, KABUPATEN KARANGASEM ABSTRAK Latar belakang Asam urat merupakan salah satu produk akhir dari katabolisme atau pemecahan purin di dalam tubuh. Prevalansi penyakit asam urat cenderung berdampak pada usia muda, terutama usia produktif yang akan berdampak pada penurunan produktivitas kerja. Perubahan gaya hidup, kebiasaan, dan rutinitas yang dapat berdampak negatif terhadap kesehatan. Tujuan Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran kadar sam urat pada masyarakat usia produktif. Metode Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penulisan deskriptif dengan teknik purposive sampling yang melibatkan 44 responden dari 3.245 populasi. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan November 2023-April 2024 di Desa Kubu, Kecamatan Kubu, Kabupaten Karangasem. Metode pemeriksaan kadar asam urat yang digunakan yaitu POCT. Hasil Penelitian diperoleh 20 responden (45,45%) memeiliki kadar asam urat tinggi, 24 responden (54,54%) memiliki kadar asam urat normal. Kesimpulan Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa kadar asam urat tinggi terjadi pada responden pra lansia, memiliki jenis kelamin laki-laki, tidak sekolah, dan dengan IMT obesitas.
