Abstract

OVERVIEW OF URINE PROTEIN LEVELS IN HYPERTENSION PATIENTS AT PUBLIC HEALTH CENTER II WEST DENPASAR ABSTRACT Background: Hypertension is a chronic condition with increased blood pressure on the walls of the arteries. Uncontrolled hypertension causes damage to the fine blood vessels in the kidneys, thereby reducing the kidneys' ability to filter blood optimally and causing increased progression of proteinuria or protein in the urine. This study aims to determine the description of urine protein levels in hypertension sufferers. Method: This type of research used descriptive cross sectional, carried out at West Denpasar Health Center II in February – April 2024. The population was hypertension sufferers with 44 samples using the purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using interview sheets and urine protein dip strip tests. Results: The results of the study showed that 22 urin samples (50.0%) were positive 1 (+), 3 urin samples (6.8%) were positive 2 (++), 2 urine samples (4.5%) were positive 3 (++ +), and 17 urine samples (38.6%) were negative. Positive urine protein levels were more commonly found in those aged 46 - 65 years, 12 people with hypertension for 5 - 10 years, 21 people, 11 people had blood pressure in the prehypertension category, and 21 people were taking antihypertensive medication. Conclusion: It can be concluded that positive urine protein levels most often occur in the age range 46 – 65 years, with a history of hypertension for 5 – 10 years, have prehypertensive blood pressure, and have been taking antihypertensive medication since being diagnosed with high blood pressure. Keywords: Hypertension, Urine Protein GAMBARAN KADAR PROTEIN URIN PADA PENDERITA HIPERTENSI DI PUSKESMAS II DENPASAR BARAT ABSTRAK Latar Belakang: Hipertensi merupakan suatu kondisi kronis dengan peningkatan tekanan darah pada dinding pembuluh darah arteri. Tidak terkontrolnya hipertensi menyebabkan rusaknya pembuluh darah halus pada ginjal sehingga berkurangnya kemampuan ginjal dalam menyaring darah yang optimal dan menyebabkan meningkatnya progresivitas proteinuria atau terdapat protein dalam urin. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui gambaran kadar protein urin pada penderita hipertensi. Metode: Jenis penelitian menggunakan deskriptif cross sectional, dilaksanakan di Puskesmas II Denpasar Barat pada Bulan Februari – April 2024. Sebagai populasi adalah penderita hipertensi dengan 44 sampel menggunakan teknik Purposive Sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar wawancara dan uji strip carik celup protein urin. Hasil: Hasil penelitian didapatkan 22 sampel urin (50,0%) positif 1 (+), 3 sampel urin (6,8%) positif 2 (++), 2 sampel urin (4,5%) positif 3 (+++), dan 17 sampel urin (38,6%) negatif. Kadar protein urin positif lebih banyak ditemukan pada usia 46 – 65 tahun sebanyak 12 orang dengan lama mengidap hipertensi 5 – 10 tahun sebanyak 21 orang, yang memiliki tekanan darah dengan kategori prahipertensi sebanyak 11 orang, dan mengkonsumsi obat antihipertensi sebanyak 21 orang. Simpulan: Dapat disimpulkan bahwa kadar protein urin positif paling banyak terjadi pada usia rentang 46 – 65 tahun, dengan riwayat hipertensi 5 – 10 tahun, memiliki tekanan darah prahipertensi, dan mengkonsumsi obat antihipertensi sejak didiagnosa memiliki tekanan darah tinggi.
