Abstract
EFFECT OF HEALTH EDUCATION WITH VIDEOS ON MEDICATION ADHERENCE IN ELDERLY HYPERTENSIVES ABSTRACT Hypertension or high blood pressure, is often referred to as "the silent killer" because it is often without complaints. Hypertension is defined as systolic blood pressure ≥ 140 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure ≥ 90 mmHg. This study aims to determine the effect of health education with video on adherence to taking medication in elderly with hypertension. The type of research used is a quasi experiment with one group pre test and post test. The sampling technique used in this research is non-probability sampling with purposive sampling method. The number of samples used in this study were 53 people. The results showed that before being given health education with videos on compliance with taking medication, there were 13 subjects with high adherence as many as 13 people (245%) and after being given health education with videos on adherence to taking medication, there were 36 people with high adherence (679%). Statistical testing used the Wilcoxon test and the results obtained were p-value = 0.000 <alpha (0.05) which means that there is an effect of health education with videos on adherence to taking medication in elderly hypertension. The conclusion is that there is an effect of health education with videos on adherence to taking medication in elderly hypertensives in the Working Area of Puskesmas I Denpasar Timur in 2023. Compliance education with taking medication with videos can be used as a reference in improving adherence to taking medication in hypertension sufferers. Hipertensi didefinisikan sebagai tekanan darah sistolik ≥ 140 mmHg dan tekanan darah diastolic ≥ 90 mmHg. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Edukasi Kesehatan Dengan Video Terhadap Kepatuhan Minum Obat Pada Lansia Hipertensi. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu quasi experiment dengan one grup pre test and post test. Teknik sampling yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah non probability sampling dengan metode pemilihan sampel Purposive sampling. Jumlah sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 53 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebelum diberikan edukasi Kesehatan dengan video Kepatuhan minum obat pada subjek penelitian dengan kepatuhan tinggi sebanyak 13 orang (245%) dan sesudah diberikan edukasi Kesehatan dengan video Kepatuhan minum obat pada subjek penelitian dengan kepatuhan tinggi sebanyak 36 orang (679%). Pengujian statistik menggunakan uji wilcoxon dan didapatkan hasil p-value = 0,000 < alpha (0,05). Kesimpulan terdapat pengaruh edukasi Kesehatan dengan video terhadap Kepatuhan minum obat pada lansia hipertensi di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas I Denpasar Timur tahun 2023. Edukasi kespatuhan minum obat dengan video dapat dijadikan acuan dalam memperbaiki kepatuhan minum obat penderita hipertensi. Kata kunci : Kepatuhan Minum Obat, Hipertensi, Edukasi
